Introducing the first release in the new Featured Artist series, an annual collaboration with Nevada artists. The 2026 Featured Artist, David Cooper, is a Las Vegas–based illustrator and painter known for his whimsical style. His original design, created exclusively for Nevada Horse Trails, reflects the spirit of the trail and the landscapes we love to ride through.

The limited edition art prints showcase Cooper’s full-color original illustration, rich with desert tones and texture. The matching T-shirt features the design in a soft, single-color print for a timeless, wearable look.

Description

David Cooper is an illustrator and painter based in Las Vegas, Nevada. The range of his work varies on themes of nature, nostalgia, and general nonsense. Cooper crafts his own whimsical visual language by the execution of traditional media, but employs a unique pen & ink style that flows throughout his portfolio. After graduating from Savannah College of Art & Design in 1999, Cooper has toggled between the commercial art realm and the independent fine art scenes of Portland, OR and Las Vegas, NV. Clients have included a diverse scope of small businesses, publications, and private collectors.
